Avril Lavigne is back with her first single, 'What the Hell,' off her forthcoming album 'Goodbye Lullaby' to be released on March 8. The punk-pop starlet debuted the song on 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve,' and fans can download the MP3 for free on her Facebook fan page.

'What the Hell' was co-written by Max Martin, the superstar producer behind such hits as Britney Spears' '...Baby One More Time,' Kelly Clarkson's 'Since U Been Gone' and Pink's 'So What.' The song is one of four tracks Martin and Lavigne collaborated on for 'Goodbye Lullaby.'

Lavigne showcases an upbeat side, similar to her early hits 'Sk8er Boi' and 'Girlfriend.' The fun melody may seem innocent, but guys might want to step out of her way -- the Canadian singer is out to break some hearts and have some fun in the process, as she sings that she "need[s] to be a little crazy. All my life I've been good / But now I'm thinking what the hell? All I want to do is mess around / And I don't really care about if you love me, if you hate me."

Alicia Keys offers a heartfelt message to her two-month-old son, Egypt, on the new song 'Speechless,' featuring Eve.

The song was unveiled on Monstermondays.com, a site run by her husband Swizz Beatz, who produced the track. 'Speechless' opens with a spoken word section over a gentle electric guitar and piano melody, as Keys announces, "This little guy, man, he takes my breath away."

A hip-hop beat joins the mix for the chorus, when the prolific songwriter sings that she's at a loss for words when she looks at her son: "I'm just speechless baby, don't know what to say / I'm just speechless baby, the poet in me has gone away."

Rapper Eve, who previously teamed up with Keys on the 2002 smash 'Gangsta Lovin',' contributes a verse about the joy of unexpectedly falling for someone.

'Speechless' is not yet destined for any album, as Keys tweeted earlier this week: "Speechless is a little freestyle treat 4 the holidays. It's not a new album, not a single its something special 4 U!"

Keys has not released an album since 2009's 'The Element of Freedom,' which produced hits 'Un-Thinkable (I'm Ready)' and 'Try Sleeping with a Broken Heart.' To hear 'Speechless,' play in to Stafa Band Site.

Nelly and Kelly Rowland have teamed up for yet another stellar duet on the new song 'Gone,' which is featured on the Missouri native's latest album, '5.0.'

Like on their previous collaboration, 'Dilemma,' Nelly and Kelly address one another by name as they sing about having the hots for each other over a relaxed R&B melody.

Nelly directly references lyrics from 'Dilemma' when he sings, "Remember that chick that used to live right up the block from me? / I seen her yesterday and she still fly / She still right, still tight, still fine / Yep, I still wanna make her mine."

The former Destiny's Child singer again provides the hook, "Nelly got me gone, gone, gone, gone / Boy you know you got me gone."

'Gone' is a sequel of sorts to 'Dilemma,' the rap ballad that spent 10 weeks atop the singles chart in 2002, though Nelly told MTV News he prefers to think of the new song as "extending the story" of 'Dilemma' rather than being a sequel. "I don't want to diminish anything with 'Dilemma' or have any expectations you cannot live up to," the rapper said.
